VFS Global has officially launched a new online platform for Indonesia’s Electronic Visa on Arrival (e-VoA), designed to streamline the visa application process and enhance the travel experience. The platform, which is available to nationals of 97 countries, including India, aims to support Indonesia’s efforts to attract 14 million visitors by 2025 and improve its tourism infrastructure.
This innovative platform allows travellers to complete the entire visa application process online, from document submission to payment, before departure. Upon approval, a pre-approved e-VoA is sent directly to the traveller’s email, allowing them to bypass the immigration queues at all international airports and seaports in Indonesia, including those in Bali and Jakarta.
Jiten Vyas, Chief Commercial Officer and Head of Business Development at VFS Global, stated, “As a company, we are constantly working towards innovations that provide a seamless visa application submission experience to our customers. The launch of this secure and user-friendly e-Visa on Arrival platform for Indonesia will undoubtedly streamline the visa process, making it faster, easier, and more convenient. With Indonesia being a globally sought-after destination, we are honoured to assist visitors from 97 countries by facilitating their entry into this incredible country.”
The platform features an easy-to-use interface, accessible from both desktop and mobile devices. Applicants are guided through four simple steps: visiting the dedicated website, submitting the required documents, making the necessary payment, and receiving the e-VoA via email. The system also includes Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology to auto-populate applicant details, reducing errors and saving time. In addition, the platform supports group bookings for travel agents and tour operators, further streamlining the visa process for the travel industry. Live support is available in seven languages, with plans to expand in the future.
VFS Global has also set up dedicated Indonesia tourism promotion kiosks in Dubai, Mumbai, and Shanghai, with plans for expansion to Australia. The new platform is part of VFS Global’s ongoing efforts to promote Indonesia and enhance the travel experience for international visitors.
