Yodha Box Office Collection Day 2: Sidharth Malhotra’s Film Witnesses a Solid Jump

Mumbai, March 17, 2024: The box office battle continues, and this time, it’s Sidharth Malhotra leading the charge with his latest film, Yodha. The action-packed thriller, starring Malhotra alongside Raashii Khanna and Disha Patani, has been the talk of the town since its release. After a somewhat lukewarm opening day, the film has sprung to life on its second day, leaving audiences intrigued and eager for more.

A Modest Start

On its debut day, Yodha didn’t set the box office on fire. Official figures indicate that the film collected Rs 4.25 crore. While not a dismal performance, it left room for improvement. The initial response was mixed, with some praising the performances and adrenaline-pumping action sequences, while others found the plot predictable.

Saturday Brings Hope

But as the sun rose on Saturday, so did the fortunes of Yodha. Early estimates suggest that the film witnessed a solid jump in collections, raking in approximately Rs 5.75 crore. This surge represents a 40.24 percent increase from the release day numbers. The film’s total collection now stands at an impressive Rs 9.85 crore after just two days in theaters.

The Battle for Dominance

Yodha faced stiff competition from other releases. Alongside it, Adah Sharma’s Bastar and Sargun Mehta’s Jatt Nuu Chudail Takri hit the screens on Friday. However, neither of these films managed to outpace the Yodha juggernaut. Bastar scraped together Rs 1.05 crore, while Jatt Nuu Chudail Takri fared slightly better with Rs 2.17 crore in collections.

The Unyielding Rival

Yet, the real challenge lies elsewhere. Ajay Devgn’s Shaitaan, which has already crossed the Rs 100 crore mark in India, continues to dominate the box office. Its worldwide collection has soared past Rs 120 crore. For Yodha, breaking through this stronghold seems like a daunting task. But as they say, every underdog has its day.

Sidharth Malhotra’s Stakes

For Sidharth Malhotra, Yodha represents a crucial moment in his career. His last big-screen outing in 2022, Thank God, didn’t fare well at the box office. However, his digital debut in 2021 with Shershaah received widespread acclaim. Now, as he dons the mantle of an action star, all eyes are on whether Yodha can turn the tide for him.

The Wait and Watch

As the weekend unfolds, moviegoers eagerly await the verdict. Will Yodha continue its upward trajectory, or will it join the ranks of Malhotra’s recent box office disappointments? Only time will tell. Until then, grab your popcorn, settle into your seats, and brace yourself for the next thrilling chapter in the saga of Yodha.
